The Spring Garden

“Every moment has its pleasures and its hope." - Jane Austen

And the moment had come, the moment of celebration and excitement, of appreciation and contentment!
It was my my hopeful moment when I received a call for my solo art exhibition and I said Yes!

The Spring Garden in the Pacific Northwest is a sight to behold, I am overjoyed to bring that beauty with my SOLO art show “The Spring Garden” now up for you to enjoy at the Antonio Salon in the heart of Seattle Downtown. Cozy up as I tell you the story of how my dream project came to life.

Being an artist is a multilayer full time job, where you are not only a painter but also your own

  • Framer

  • Social media manager

  • Art teacher

  • Website designer

  • Accountant

  • Photographer

  • AND many more creative roles!

Preparing for my dream show allowed me to experience all these roles with joy, sometimes with a bit of frustration as a part of the process.

Did I tell you already that I have 20 paintings in this show?
You can imagine, how interesting it would have been to varnish, frame all those paintings. And ofcourse, take photographs of all of them to upload on my website, to share on the social media, which I immensely enjoyed.

Meanwhile I also prepared the flyers for the show with my name, the show information and a short bio so that they are super handy to share with friends and family to invite them to the show.

Thankfully, I found a natural North Light window facing wall where I could take photos of my artwork that reveled the truest colors of my paintings without fading them.

I found that the optical lens cameras stay true to the colors in the original painting whereas iphone digital cameras slightly modify the colors to brighter tones as well as reduces the natural contrast of light and dark tones. I like taking photos with both the camera and iphone so that I have options to choose from for posting on my website and social media

Step by step, all the 20 paintings went through the process of varnishing, framing, wiring and photographing. Now it was time to pack them. Meanwhile, I was tired yet excited about realizing a sweet dream which offered me energy to keep going and working immensely day and night!

And then It was time to hang the show!

I had only heard about the Antonio Salon and had seen photos on the internet. It was a delight to be in the space, experience its bright neutral walls, as the natural light illuminated them from the tall glass windows. I just knew how joyful my brilliant paintings are going to look in this elegant space.

I must share with you how hard my friend Rachel Solimeno, another great artist from Seattle had worked to make this show a success. She brought in all the equipment needed to mount the show on the walls, including wires, hangers, ladders and super efficiently helped me hang the show. We figured out what paintings will go on which walls for a pleasing experience to the Antonio’s clients and visitors. In fact, Rachel is the creative mind behind coming up with the idea of a spring show with my colorful paintings, yay!

One painting and the next and the next and the next, the show is up and I am over the moon! Although super tired and hungry, I couldn’t help but take plenty of photos of the show to share with you all.

I want to commend and sincerely thank Antonio and Rachel for coming up with this idea of fundraising for Pike Market Food Bank with my colorful, joyful paintings. We hope these paintings bring smile on your face and joy in your heart each time you look at them on your favorite spot on your wall. Our aim to raise as much as we may to offer the support to the community by donating 20% of the proceedings. Your contribution is invaluable in supporting the cause as well as supporting your local artist such as myself to continue my passion to create colorful art and spread joy and hope.
